Welcome to The Arizona Small Ball Podcast, your number one source for all things small ball in Arizona. The podcast is hosted by two coaches from the Arizona small ball scene, Jeff Luera, and Reyes Herrera. We are here to discuss one of the hidden gems in Arizona, high school basketball. Here we cover Sports News but our emphasis is small school basketball in Arizona. As coaches in the Valley we understand that these guys don’t get enough love or recognition and we’re here to advocate for them and show them some love. Through our hard work and dedication our podcast is able to do the following: Cover weekly games and spotlight player performances, provide High school coaches interviews for behind the scenes information you can’t get anywhere else, provide great coaching content that will help any coach improve their craft, and even offer some recruiting help for athletes to get an opportunity to play at the next level. Reyes Herrera

My passion is making a difference in people’s lives the only way I know how, and that is through sports. I have started my own travel club basketball team, run my own small business, and currently am an assistant coach at Camp Verde High School. My mission, is to mentor, inspire, and impact our youth, to give them an opportunity to reach success and help them further their academic and athletic careers. I have a great way with people and have been able to build strong relationships with coaches all over the country.

Jeff Luera

My passion is helping student-athletes grow into the best version of themselves. I had coaches/teachers that heavily impacted my life in high school and in college, and my goal is to do the same! I have spent the last 8 years of my life teaching and coaching. During that time I have been extremely blessed to be married and have three beautiful children. There is no better way to spend your life than by trying to help young people become better versions of themselves, and I believe that basketball and teaching in the classroom is the best way to do that!
